As I progress on my journey, I stumbled on forgiveness. I came to a realization that forgiveness really isn't about the other person or closure I didn’t get. It's really about “Me”. It's about my heart and my soul being at Peace. It's about my healing and moving on. It's about not letting the past hold, my mind hostage, anymore. It’s freeing them from my heart, my mind and soul. It’s about continuous growth and forward movement for my spirit to soar. As Bob Marley sang from Redemption Song: “Emancipate yourself from mental slavery. None but ourselves can free our minds."
